Dewone Wright

Dewone Wright is a fourth grade student at Star Elementary located in Star, Nc. Dewone is regarded by his teachers as “a very hard worker, respectful and responsible”. He was most recently named student of the month for December 2016 and received an award for A-B Honor Roll. Dewone loves to help people and even tutors children in reading. He is an active member of the KC club (caring club) at his school and is also a part of the Saturday Basketball League.

Free to Learn: Student Spotlight of the Month

Jabria Ingram

Jabria, a Junior at Randleman High School, is currently ranked number 1 in her class with a 4.625 unweighted grade point average. At school Jabria is a Beta Club officer, a Hoby Ambassador, a member of the Student Government Association, and the Assistant Leader in Christians in Action.

Jabria has also been accepted into the North Carolina School of Science and Math, studied at NC State’s Engineering Program, and was a participant in the 2016 Governor Page Program where she had the opportunity to meet Governor Pat McCrory. When she is not studying or at work, Jabria is very active in her church, and community, she also enjoys reading and spending time with her family and friends.

Jabria is a wonderful example that hard work and dedication pays off. Jabria has already received numerous interest letters from some very prestigious colleges and universities, and upon graduation from high school, Jabria plans to attend one of the many options she has available.
